1. CPD Training Grants are awarded to members for attendance at recognised professional conservation-restoration training courses, workshops and conferences of 1-5 days duration.
   
   
2. Applications must be received by ICRI six weeks prior to the training course or conference. ICRI will not award a grant if the course or conference has already taken place.
   
   
3. The award to each applicant is dependent on the funds available to ICRI, the number of applications received and the quality of the application. ICRI will endeavour to support a maximum of 50% of total relevant expenditure. (Course fees, transport and accommodation). In exceptional circumstances an award may be higher.
   
   
4. A limited number of grants may be available for one particular course or conference. In the event of multiple applications for the same course a percentage of the fee may be awarded.
   
   
5. No more than two applications from the same organisation will be accepted per event.
   
   
6. CPD Training Grants will be paid to successful applicants on the receipt of vouched proof of payment and attendance. In exceptional cases the award may be made in advance.
   
   
7. To ensure parity, members can only successfully apply for one bursary a year.
   
   
8. Successful applicants must write a brief review (c.500 words) of the training event attended for the Heritage Council, within one month of attendance. This may be published by ICRI.

Applications will be considered from Accredited Conservator-Restorer Members, Conservator-Restorer Members and Student Members who have completed their training. Applicants must be resident in the island of Ireland or working for an Irish / Northern Irish institution at the time of application.

Eligible members need to have been a member of ICRI for a minimum of six months prior to submitting an application.

Please Note: Members in any form of arrears, members of the ICRI Board, Associate Members, Institutional Members and Student Members currently in receipt of an Education Bursary for full-time training are not eligible to apply.

Your application must include:

1. Details of the course or conference that you would like to attend including title, dates, location and organiser, fees, transport and accommodation costs. All costs are to be itemised clearly in € Euro.
   
   
2. Relevance of the course or conference towards your CPD; how it will expand your knowledge and expertise and benefit the conservation profession and cultural heritage in Ireland.
   
   
3. Declaration of any other funding received or sought by the applicant to support attendance at the training for which they are seeking an ICRI grant.
   
   
4. Details of any previous ICRI CPD Training Grants you have received within the last 2 years; this includes conference or course title, dates and grant amount. Preference may be given to applicants who have not received ICRI funding within the previous two years.
   
   
5. A completed Data Consent form.

The Board will consider all valid applications at the next Board meeting; where necessary further information may be requested. Failure to provide complete information within a reasonable time will result in the application being rejected. Applicants will be informed of the outcome of their application within 2 weeks of its consideration. Where an applicant does not wish to, or is unable to proceed with attendance at the event for which an award has been made, ICRI must be informed as soon as possible.

REMINDER - By applying for an ICRI CPD grant, applicants agree that the information submitted is truthful and that they have read, understood and agree to abide by these Application Criteria. Failure to comply will result in withdrawal of any award and may result in loss of membership of ICRI. Awards are made at the discretion of the Board. Decisions of the ICRI Board on applications for funding and awards are final.
