Call for Papers - ICRI Conference 2018

ICRI invites presentations for its conference “Conservation Activities in Ireland VI” on Thursday 4 October 2018 in the National Gallery of Ireland.

ICRI is delighted to host this biennial event which offers a professional forum for members to showcase conservation activities, meet, inspire and exchange views. The conference will also engage the public and students to promote an understanding of the conservation profession and offer fruitful engagement with related study fields and to grow future alliances with research.

The conference programme aims to feature a broad range of conservation specialisms, featuring either private or public projects from across the country and beyond. The morning session will focus on science and conservation with an afternoon session on recent and revaluated conservation projects.

The conference committee welcomes proposals for a 20 minute presentation on the following themes:

  • Scientific research and/or treatment projects
  • Revisiting past projects with today’s knowledge
  • Co-operative or cross-disciplinary projects
  • Conservation activities and developments

Deadlines for submission is 30 April 2018 at 5pm

Please email your proposal to Amy Raethorne and include

  • Title of presentation
  • Presentation abstract (200 words maximum)
  • Speaker's biography (150 words maximum)
  • Contact details (email and telephone number)

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact the conference committee.

Each presenter/author is responsible for attaining copyright and data protection clearance on content presented. Selected presentations must be delivered in person. ICRI may publish post-prints following the conference and a peer-review process.

Successful presenters will be notified within 20 days of the closing date for submissions.

Please note bookings and conference information will be available from 20 May 2018.
