The Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis will provide significant challenges for conservators and the broader cultural heritage sector over the coming months. During these unprecedented times, the ICRI Board will be doing everything possible to maintain its program and to continue its support for ICRI members.
Please find below updates with regard to specific events that were originally scheduled to take place this year.
ICRI would like to encourage applicants to look at on-line courses for this year’s CPD opportunities and bursaries are available for these. A short list of on-line courses can be found below. The Institute will continue to support your CPD advancement, where possible.
We are still accepting abstract submissions for our biennial conference planned for October 2020. Please be aware, however, that the conference might be postponed until next year. We will hopefully be in a clearer position to make a final decision on the conference by our next board meeting on 21 April.
The May AGM has been postponed until later this year. We hope to have more news on this in the coming weeks.
Board meeting 21 April:
The next ICRI board meeting will take place via video conference. The Board will discuss training opportunities for this year, CPD applications, the AGM and conference plans.
The Accreditation Committee would like to reassure potential candidates that they can still register their intention to apply for accreditation by September 2020. Please consult the website for more details. Application submissions have been postponed from March until November 2020.
We are committed to running some events at a later stage if necessary and where feasible.
We would love to hear from everyone about any online courses/lectures or heritage activities that would be of interest to all members.
The Board of ICRI wish you and your family good health,
